Trigger Supply · M&P 2.0 FRT · Drop-In Backplate · 4140 Steel · All Variants · In Stock
The Trigger Supply M&P 2.0 Forced Reset Trigger transforms your Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 into a faster, more capable platform without touching the frame or requiring any gunsmithing. It installs as a direct backplate replacement — no permanent modifications, no specialty tools, no disassembly beyond what any M&P owner already does for routine cleaning.
The FRT mechanism uses the energy of the slide cycle to mechanically reset the trigger after each round, enabling the fastest possible follow-up fire at one round per trigger function. If the forced reset ever fails, the pistol drops automatically to standard semi-auto — you are never left with a non-functional firearm.
Three Operating Modes
Single-Shot
Standard semi-auto feel for precision shooting. Deliberate trigger press, manual reset, full control shot to shot.
Forced Reset
The slide cycle mechanically resets the trigger after each round. Fastest possible follow-up fire at one round per trigger function — fully semi-automatic.
Semi-Auto Fallback
If the forced reset fails for any reason, the pistol automatically reverts to standard semi-auto. The firearm never stops functioning.
Why the M&P 2.0 Is the Right Platform
The M&P 2.0 is one of the most popular service pistols in the USA for good reason — reliable, ergonomic, widely supported, and available in every major defensive caliber. The Trigger Supply FRT takes that foundation and adds a forced reset mechanism without changing anything that makes the M&P 2.0 work. It comes out as fast as it goes in. Your existing holsters, accessories, and muscle memory stay intact.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a forced reset trigger for the M&P 2.0?
An FRT for the M&P 2.0 uses the energy of the slide cycle to mechanically reset the trigger after each shot — enabling faster follow-up fire without the shooter needing to fully release the trigger. One round is fired per trigger function. It is a fully semi-automatic device. The Trigger Supply M&P 2.0 FRT installs as a drop-in backplate replacement with no gunsmithing required.
Does this fit my M&P 2.0?
Yes — compatible with all M&P 2.0 variants in 9mm, 10mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP including Full Size, Compact, Subcompact, Metal, Performance Center, and Thumb Safety models. Does not fit the original M&P (non-2.0) or the M&P Shield series.
How hard is the installation?
Very straightforward. The FRT installs by replacing the factory backplate — no gunsmithing, no frame modification, no permanent changes. It can be removed and the factory backplate reinstalled just as easily. Any M&P 2.0 owner who does their own cleaning can install this.
What are the three operating modes?
Single-shot mode operates like a standard semi-auto trigger for precision fire. Forced reset mode uses the slide cycle to mechanically reset the trigger for the fastest possible follow-up fire. If the forced reset fails for any reason, the pistol automatically reverts to standard semi-auto — the firearm never stops functioning.
What spring upgrades are recommended?
A 4lb striker spring paired with a heavier recoil spring is strongly recommended for optimal reliability and to minimize long-term wear. These tune the pistol's cycling to match the FRT's reset timing, improving consistency during rapid fire.
What happens if the forced reset fails?
The pistol automatically reverts to standard semi-auto operation. You are never left with a non-functional firearm — the fail-safe is built into the design.
Is the M&P 2.0 FRT legal?
Forced reset triggers require one trigger function per round fired and are semi-automatic devices. State-level restrictions apply in some jurisdictions. Review the full current federal and state breakdown before ordering at Are FRT Triggers Legal?

I ordered this thinking I would beat the next stupid ban. So the trigger arrived very fast, just a few days, and I didn't pay for the extra shipping charge for getting it faster. Wasn't needed in my case. This was so easy to install a blind person could do it. Then I took it to the range and I expected it not to work like it was described. OMG did my face light up! Burned up two magazines in less than 10 seconds I think. And is still safe, and it retains the semi auto, or one shot per pull capability. I'm buying more for my other AR's now.

It wasn't exactly what I was expecting but I gave it a try. The installation video sucks because I couldn't see what he was doing but I ended up getting it. You have to learn how to run it as there's a little bit of a trick to it but once you do that it's fun to use.
First time using the Disruptor drop-in trigger I couldn't get it to work, even after swapping in an H2 buffer. This H3 heavy-duty spring combo finally did the trick. Rifle is an older S&W Sport II. Suppressor is SilencerCo Velos 556. Very happy with the result and looking forward to adding Disruptor FRT and this buffer/spring to at least two more rifles.
Had some initial issues with the trigger but customer service was easy to get ahold of and took care of me. Shipping was super fast, and everything is working as intended now. I wouldn’t think twice about ordering from them again.

Hey Joel,
This is GREAT to hear, and glad it was super easy
The FRT dropped right in and ran wonderfully! It cycled 22 rounds in roughly 2 seconds.
My son's first experience firing anything like this and he absolutely loved it.
I highly recommend this product for your TX22.
Safe, Semi, FRT. Until you experience it, you just don’t know what it’s like. But once you do know, you’ll want more. An addiction that is backed by the Constitution. 2A for LIFE.
Worked amazingly. Was everything I hoped it would be. Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking to purchase firearms accessories. Had a couple small order issues in the past and they were handled very quickly and expertly. As a result I try to give them as much of my business as possible.
Super easy to install, runs smooth and without failure in a completely stock $500 American tactical AR, there are plenty of videos showing how to install it. Would and am buying this trigger kit again, and pairing it with a lighter spring kit, there isn’t any weird quirks with it, I simply installed it with some oil and my factory pins and springs and it worked without polishing or any other modifications. Super happy with it!

Straight drop in, no modifications. Ran great no issues yet
Functioned fantastically. I absolutely recommend a heavier buffer. I have a Ruger AR lower and it fit perfectly. Really really enjoys the metal mags. Had loading issues, disappeared when I swapped to metal mags. Selector switch works slightly better than original. I used a extra spring I had laying around and got an H3 buffer. Make sure you have the full auto BCG or this product will not function.
I ended up needing something slightly lighter to run the G Lever FRS, but the H2.5 is probably a good option for a suppressed build with more back pressure
Had to do a minor tweak to tappet wire but other than that it was a drop in kit. Seems to be made of quality steel. We all are now having great fun with it.
My first ARC-Fire ran like a champ! I never had a hiccup or problem, and everyone on the range stared like I was a criminal...🤣 It was the V1, and man I was happy. Then all of a sudden...
I watched a video that showcased the ARC-Fire V2, with a 0-45°-90° ambi selector, and I had to have one. After all, it was going in my HK MR556 A4, and it has the markings on the lower for a 0°-45° selector, and I, of course, wanted it to match. So I bought one...
While visiting AS Designs website, I noticed they sold HK style selector levers for their ARC-Fire V2. So I bought some...
You CANNOT go wrong with this company! Their products are, in my and many others opinion, the best FRT on the market today! Just go to YouTube and pull up a 'Juicy Media' video, and he demonstrates a bunch of different brands of FRT and explains the pros/cons of the others, and explains why he prefers AS Designs!
5 MF'ing ☆'s~!!!
This enhanced semi-auto trigger is amazing the install was easy the function is great the only thing would be you need a t10 tool of your own to hold the other side. But overall 10/10 this mad my cheap Anderson ar turn heads!!!
