LaRue Kabuto FRT — First Kabuto Cut for LaRue MBT 2-Stage Triggers | 316 Stainless Ambi
LaRue Kabuto · CNC Aluminum Housing · Minimal Tuning · Fort Worth, Texas
Run a LaRue MBT? This is the assisted reset trigger built for you: the first Kabuto ever machined specifically for the LaRue MBT two-stage trigger. The bottom of the CNC machined 6061 aluminum housing is cut to mate with the MBT's machined S7 tool steel profile, so the forced reset device sits on your LaRue the way generic Kabutos never could.
No printed body. No laser-cut pieces. Minimal tuning. A 316 stainless steel, polished and bead-blasted 3-position ambidextrous selector, a bearing steel main pin, and every unit hand-assembled in Fort Worth, Texas by the same Texas shop that builds our Tex Kabuto. The highest-quality Kabuto made for the MBT, with no comparison on the market.
Generic Kabuto housings are shaped around mil-spec fire control groups. Drop one over an MBT's machined plate profile and you're into shimming, sanding, and hoping.
On this Kabuto, the underside of the housing is machined to the MBT's actual geometry and the activator is set for the MBT's reset. The machining does most of the work before it ever reaches your bench.
Minimal tuning, not zero. Every MBT and every lower vary by a few thousandths. Most units drop on and run. Some need a light touch on the activator to time the reset to your specific trigger. If yours does, it's a few minutes with a file, not a fitment session. Drop it onto your MBT-2S, function check it, and tune only if it asks for it.
Not running a LaRue? Mil-spec trigger shooters: the Tex Kabuto has the same metal body and drops in with no fitting. Want a machined metal selector in color? See the CNC Kabuto.
Geissele SSA owners: the Geissele-Ready Kabuto Package includes our SSA insert.
You paid for a match-grade trigger. The device sitting on top of it should be machined to the same standard.

Minimal. The housing is machined to the MBT-2S profile and the activator is set for the MBT's reset, so most units drop on and run. Because every trigger and lower vary slightly, some units need a light activator adjustment to time the reset. Function check it first; tune only if it needs it.
No. This housing is cut for the LaRue MBT-2S only. Mil-spec trigger owners want the Tex Kabuto. Geissele SSA owners want the Geissele-Ready Package.
Yes, like every FRT. M16-profile BCG is required; H2 buffer minimum, H3 preferred, never a solid buffer.
Forced reset triggers are semi-automatic — one round per function of the trigger — and legal in most states, with restrictions in some. Check Are FRT Triggers Legal? before ordering.
