What Is the Hoffman Tactical Super Safety?
The Hoffman Tactical Super Safety is a 3-position active reset selector system for AR-15 mil-spec lowers. It replaces your standard 2-position safety selector with a 3-position system — Safe, Semi-Auto, and Active Reset — that uses a cam-and-lever mechanism to push the trigger forward and force a reset as the bolt carrier group cycles.
The result: faster follow-up fire than any standard mil-spec trigger allows, without replacing your hammer, trigger, disconnector, or springs. The Super Safety flat trigger variant pairs this selector system with a flat trigger face — preferred by many shooters for more consistent finger placement and a cleaner break feel.

How the Super Safety Flat Trigger Works
The Hoffman Tactical Super Safety replaces your standard safety selector with a 3-position mechanism. Here's how the active reset position works:
- Safe position — standard safe, trigger blocked
- Semi-auto position — standard semi-auto, your existing trigger fires and resets manually as normal
- Active reset position — as the BCG cycles, the Super Safety cam contacts your trigger and pushes it forward, mechanically forcing reset before the bolt returns to battery
The flat trigger face in this configuration gives you a consistent, straight contact point across the full trigger pull — reducing the tendency to push shots that curved trigger faces can create when finger placement varies between shots.

Installation Overview
The Hoffman Designed Super Safety flat trigger installation requires:
- Pre-cut trigger — your existing trigger needs a selector shelf cut to allow the Super Safety cam to interface correctly. Many Super Safety kits include a pre-cut trigger — the easiest path (just like ours does)
- Safety selector removal — remove your existing 2-position selector completely
- Cam, lever, and detent installation — install the Super Safety components in the selector pocket
- Detent modification — the safety detent requires modification to accommodate the 3-position system
- Function check — verify all three positions before loading
Total install time: 20-30 minutes for a first-time install. No BCG swap, no buffer swap, no lower modification beyond the selector pocket and detent.

I ordered this thinking I would beat the next stupid ban. So the trigger arrived very fast, just a few days, and I didn't pay for the extra shipping charge for getting it faster. Wasn't needed in my case. This was so easy to install a blind person could do it. Then I took it to the range and I expected it not to work like it was described. OMG did my face light up! Burned up two magazines in less than 10 seconds I think. And is still safe, and it retains the semi auto, or one shot per pull capability. I'm buying more for my other AR's now.
Second one i bought now and still flawless operation. Would recommend this product to anyone who likes to go through ammo.

It wasn't exactly what I was expecting but I gave it a try. The installation video sucks because I couldn't see what he was doing but I ended up getting it. You have to learn how to run it as there's a little bit of a trick to it but once you do that it's fun to use.

First time using the Disruptor drop-in trigger I couldn't get it to work, even after swapping in an H2 buffer. This H3 heavy-duty spring combo finally did the trick. Rifle is an older S&W Sport II. Suppressor is SilencerCo Velos 556. Very happy with the result and looking forward to adding Disruptor FRT and this buffer/spring to at least two more rifles.

Worked amazingly. Was everything I hoped it would be. Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking to purchase firearms accessories. Had a couple small order issues in the past and they were handled very quickly and expertly. As a result I try to give them as much of my business as possible.
Super easy to install, runs smooth and without failure in a completely stock $500 American tactical AR, there are plenty of videos showing how to install it. Would and am buying this trigger kit again, and pairing it with a lighter spring kit, there isn’t any weird quirks with it, I simply installed it with some oil and my factory pins and springs and it worked without polishing or any other modifications. Super happy with it!

Functioned fantastically. I absolutely recommend a heavier buffer. I have a Ruger AR lower and it fit perfectly. Really really enjoys the metal mags. Had loading issues, disappeared when I swapped to metal mags. Selector switch works slightly better than original. I used a extra spring I had laying around and got an H3 buffer. Make sure you have the full auto BCG or this product will not function.

I ended up needing something slightly lighter to run the G Lever FRS, but the H2.5 is probably a good option for a suppressed build with more back pressure
Had to do a minor tweak to tappet wire but other than that it was a drop in kit. Seems to be made of quality steel. We all are now having great fun with it.
Trigger worked perfect. Only thing I had to do was get a h3 buffer (heavy) tube and it was flawless. Dumped 2 mags in a matter of seconds.
Works flawless when you have a h3 buffer and im going to buy 5 more 😆 🤣

My first ARC-Fire ran like a champ! I never had a hiccup or problem, and everyone on the range stared like I was a criminal...🤣 It was the V1, and man I was happy. Then all of a sudden... I watched a video that showcased the ARC-Fire V2, with a 0-45°-90° ambi selector, and I had to have one. After all, it was going in my HK MR556 A4, and it has the markings on the lower for a 0°-45° selector, and I, of course, wanted it to match. So I bought one... While visiting AS Designs website, I noticed they sold HK style selector levers for their ARC-Fire V2. So I bought some... You CANNOT go wrong with this company! Their products are, in my and many others opinion, the best FRT on the market today! Just go to YouTube and pull up a 'Juicy Media' video, and he demonstrates a bunch of different brands of FRT and explains the pros/cons of the others, and explains why he prefers AS Designs! 5 MF'ing ☆'s~!!!

I put this in a 16 ' psa chambered in 5.56, just for shiggles. I was immediately blown away by the unadulterated freedom available to me, literally at the push of a button. Quality parts at an amazing price. It took 8 minutes to install, that's it. 8 minutes to put in, I verified everything was working correctly, loaded up 15 rnds because I was being a puss, and then ran them all in about 1.5 sec. LOVE IT!!!!

I have an Anderson Arms lower, a decent BCG, and decent buffer. All I had to do was install the flat trigger the kit came with. When I tell you it runs well, please believe me. I couldn’t stop smiling as I emptied mag after mag. The older ladies and gentlemen at my range came and took vids of me firing and said “it looks like you’re having fun” lol. I’ve put a little over 330 rounds through it without any flaws or alterations.

I haven't done a live fire test yet . The function test is 100%. Installed easily had to slightly file/sand the uncut side of the supplied trigger as the safety cam was contacting it slightly. It kept me from inserting the safety cam through the safety hole in the lower receiver it should slide right in. It is a cheap Anderson lower so it might be slightly lower than spec. Who knows the super safety functions 100% after that easy mod
