Compatibility

Gen 2 Gen 2.1 Gen 3 .45 ACP 10mm .40 S&W 9mm
Gen 1 owners: Gen 1 Vector requires a Gen 2 trigger pack — KRISS Vector Fire Control Group (Semi) — before this FRT can be installed.

Overview

A stainless steel, 2-position drop-in Forced Reset Trigger for the Kriss Vector. This upgrade enhances firing performance to deliver rapid cycling as intended by the original designers. It is a forced reset device and not a full-auto conversion. Proper operation requires controlled trigger input.

Our blog includes installation guidance for the Kriss Vector FRT for optimal performance. Our gunsmith team is also available to assist remotely with installation and function checks.

Disclaimer

  • This is an aftermarket component. The user assumes all liability for damage or injury.
  • Excessive lubrication is required during initial use.
  • This is not a permanent modification — parts will wear and require replacement over time.
  • Warranty replacements may be provided upon approval.
  • Ensure firearm is properly broken in before installation.

Break-In & Pre-Installation

The Kriss Vector platform requires a break-in period of approximately 350+ rounds and may exhibit issues prior to modification. Before installing this FRT, perform the following:

  • Polish bolt lugs (ears) to a smooth finish
  • Polish the FRT after fitting
  • Polish action rail guides
  • Thoroughly clean the firearm to ensure smooth cycling

Installation Steps

  1. Separate the lower and upper receiver halves.
  2. Remove optics or iron sights.
  3. Remove the top rail (roll pin and Allen screw for Gen 1).
  4. Slide off the top rail from stock to muzzle.
  5. Remove fire control group screws and extract the assembly.
  6. Remove trigger and disconnect.
  7. Install the FRT and perform initial test fit.
  8. Function check manually for any hangups.
  9. Remove and polish any contact points causing resistance.
  10. Reinstall and function check again.
  11. Manually actuate hammer and trigger to confirm reset.
  12. Repeat polishing if necessary.
  13. Reassemble firearm and apply lubrication (high-temp grease or ATF4 recommended).
Function check: After assembly, manually cycle the action and pull the trigger to confirm reset pressure and smooth operation. If resistance is present, repeat polishing and cleaning steps.

Test Fire Procedure

  1. Load 1 round — verify bolt locks back.
  2. Load 2 rounds — test cycling.
  3. Load 3 rounds — confirm reliability.
  4. Full magazine — verify full performance.

If issues occur during testing, return to polishing, lubrication, and inspection steps.

Support

If you experience issues, contact customer service before attempting advanced troubleshooting procedures.

Fitment variations may cause hangups. Polishing can be done manually or with tools, including tumbling if necessary. High-temp grease or ATF4 lubrication is recommended throughout.
