The Armaspec Sound Mitigation Buffer™ Gen3 (SMB™) H3 is a single-stage captured drop-in replacement for your standard AR-15 buffer and spring. Silent operation. Adjustable spring tension. H3 weight — the recommended threshold for forced reset trigger builds, suppressed AR-15s, and short-gas platforms. Lifetime warranty. 100% USA made. $59.99.
If you're running a forced reset trigger or Super Safety on a suppressed rifle, a short-gas or sub-16" build, or any platform that demands maximum cycle control — the H3 SMB Gen3 is the buffer. More mass than the H2 minimum, silent captured operation, and fully adjustable spring tension at the same $59.99 price point.
$59.99 · H3 Heavy Weight (5.6 oz eq.) · Silent Captured System · Lifetime Warranty · 100% USA Made
FRT & Super Safety Recommended: The SMB Gen3 H3 at 5.6 oz equivalent weight exceeds both the H2 minimum and the H3 recommended threshold for reliable forced reset trigger and Super Safety operation on AR-15 platforms. It is especially recommended for suppressed builds, short-gas systems, and any forced reset trigger build where maximum cycle control is required. Works with the Partisan Disruptor FRT, AS Designs ARC-Fire V2, Hoffman Tactical Super Safety, and any other drop-in forced reset system on a standard AR-15 platform.

Not sure which to choose? Go H3. At the same price, more buffer weight gives you more margin for reliable forced reset trigger function — especially as your round count climbs and component wear starts to affect timing. The H3 is the safer long-term choice for any FRT or Super Safety build.
Why Silent Matters on a Forced Reset Trigger Build
A standard buffer spring scrapes against the inner wall of the buffer tube every time the BCG cycles. On a forced reset trigger or Super Safety build — where cycling rates are significantly higher than standard semi-auto fire — that friction compounds. More cycles per second means more heat, more noise, and faster spring fatigue.
The SMB Gen3 eliminates spring-to-tube contact entirely. The polymer guide rod centers the spring throughout the cycling stroke, front and back, keeping metal off metal. The result is quieter operation, less heat in the tube, and a spring that maintains consistent tension through higher round counts — which means more consistent timing for your forced reset trigger reset cycle.
At $59.99 with a lifetime warranty, the H3 SMB Gen3 is the best value heavy buffer available for any forced reset trigger or Super Safety build on an AR-15 platform.
Installation
Insert polymer base with guide rod into the buffer tube
Insert the spring onto the guide rod
Insert the buffer over the spring
No tools required. Drop-in replacement for any standard AR-15 carbine buffer tube setup.

Customer Reviews
Works great everything you'd expect from this buffer only negative I have for this order was the shipping took an extra 3 days because of the post office
I recently installed an FRT in a lower I use for multiple uppers of different caliber. I couldn't get it to operate properly, and after a little research I discovered I needed an H3 buffer. Since I already had a captured system in the lower I wanted to stick to that design. I found an H3 captured buffer system for a great price on your website and ordered it. Simply replaced the old buffer, drove to the range, and opened fire. The video shows firing the 3rd mag. The barrel heat was the only reason I stopped. Great buffer system.
I reached out to the guys and asked their recommendation on a buffer for a new build. After giving them all the sowcs of my gun. They recommended an Armaspec sound mitigation buffer. I put everything together this weekend and everything is running perfect. What a difference. The buffer shipped fast. Will definitely buy from them in the future
Worked very well to slow the action down on my new FRT . Had a blast this weekend chewed through 500 round no problems. One note you will have to remove the trigger to install this buffer as it is one piece.
The garage I received were excellent when I finally received them fortunately I paid for an expedited shipping and Not only was it expedited but it took about three times longer than what it would have taken if I sent it snail mail and when I received it there were parts missing it was not a good experience working with takedown tools all the items I did receive were excellent they did finally refund my money you know I asked from the buffers to still be sent it was never sent in just refunded I'm hoping they were just having a bad couple of weeks because their price to see comparable to everyone else out there and again they have nice products and a large selection I'll probably give them another shot and if it's a good experience I will redo my review at this point in the game though not very impressed with the company but I do.
It isn't that the buffer doesn't function, I have not been able to get the BCG and the buffer to function together. When placed in the same AR they do not seem to allow the trigger to function. Placed in separate ARs and they function fine.
