This is the 10/22 FRT kit that just runs. Two parts, built by two separate companies that each own their corner of the rimfire world: the Mars Trigger fully adjustable drop-in 10/22 reset trigger, and BoreBuddy's patent-pending 10/22 Anti-Bounce Bolt. The trigger gives you the reset. The bolt makes sure it's home every time the hammer falls. Together they turn any factory-spec Ruger 10/22 into a smooth, consistent forced reset system without chasing springs, ammo, or bolt bounce.
See It Run
Why These Two Belong Together
A 10/22 reset trigger is ready to fire the instant the bolt returns. That's what makes it fast, and it's also where most rimfire FRT builds fall apart. The 10/22 is straight blowback, and its steel bolt can rebound off the breech face after it slams home. If the hammer drops during that rebound, you get a light primer strike, a dead click mid-magazine, or a rifle that only runs on the hottest ammo in the safe.
The BoreBuddy Anti-Bounce Bolt removes that bounce. BoreBuddy developed and tested it alongside the Mars 10/22 trigger, published setup guidance for exactly this pairing, and reported running it without modifying a single trigger component. You're not buying two random upgrades. You're buying the matched system.

Setup That Works the First Time
The Mars trigger ships with reduced springs meant for factory bolts. With the Anti-Bounce Bolt, follow BoreBuddy's setup instead:
- Keep the original Ruger recoil spring. Do not install the reduced recoil spring from the Mars box.
- Keep the original 10/22 hammer spring. The reduced Mars hammer spring is unnecessary with this bolt and can work against it.
- Sear set screw tip: replace the trigger's sear adjustment set screw with an M3 x 6mm button head screw, stacking M3 washers under the head to lock in the depth. Start with two washers and adjust from there.
- Ammo: rifle-length barrels run nearly anything. Short barrels and Chargers like high-velocity 40 gr loads such as CCI Mini-Mag or Cascade High Velocity.

10/22 FRT Kit FAQ
What comes in the 10/22 FRT Kit?
One Mars Trigger Ruger 10/22 drop-in reset trigger and one BoreBuddy 10/22 Anti-Bounce Bolt. The bolt uses your factory Ruger bolt handle, which is not included.
Why does a 10/22 reset trigger need an anti-bounce bolt?
A reset trigger is ready to fire the instant the bolt returns. On a factory 10/22 the steel bolt can rebound off the breech face, so the hammer can fall before the bolt is seated, causing light strikes and dead clicks. The Anti-Bounce Bolt keeps the bolt home so every reset ends in a clean hit.
Which trigger housings does the Mars 10/22 trigger work with?
It is optimized for OEM Ruger and Volquartsen trigger housings. Ruger BX housings can be adapted with custom fitment but are not recommended.
Should I use the springs included with the Mars trigger?
Not with the Anti-Bounce Bolt. BoreBuddy recommends keeping the original Ruger recoil spring and the original 10/22 hammer spring. The reduced springs supplied with the Mars are unnecessary with this bolt and can work against it.
What ammo works best in a 10/22 FRT?
With this kit, rifle-length barrels run essentially any ammo. Short barrels and Chargers do best with high-velocity 40 gr loads such as CCI Mini-Mag or Cascade High Velocity.
Is a 10/22 forced reset trigger legal?
