That's why no single activator length fits every rifle. The housing is pre-trimmed to fit as many lowers and uppers as possible, but tolerances vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, so \u003cstrong\u003esome rifles will need minor shaving\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"ckb-note\"\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eActivator length check:\u003c\/strong\u003e the bottom tip of the activator presses the trigger down to reset it. If the tip is too long, it can't travel all the way down and pushes the whole assembly up, which binds the bolt.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTo test:\u003c\/strong\u003e push the lever all the way back into the reset position, then look at how the housing sits. If the housing lifts, the activator tip is too long.
