Safe, semi, and forced reset on one selector. A 3-position FRT lets you run normal semi-auto when you want it and forced reset when you want it, without swapping parts. Here is every 3-position system we carry, from complete drop-in triggers to selector-based Super Safeties.

Two Ways to Get 3 Positions

Disruptor FRT

The Disruptor FRT from The Triggered Company (formerly Partisan Triggers) is a complete 3-position drop-in cassette for the AR-15. It comes in standard, Black, and Ambi SBW versions, and it is the easiest way to get all three positions in one install.

Super Safety

A Super Safety replaces your safety selector with a 3-position selector and pairs with a pre-cut trigger. Choose from Trigger Supply, the Trigger Supply Elite, Hoffman Tactical, and the Atrius Super Selektor, or get the Super Safety, M16 BCG, and tungsten H2 buffer together in our Super Safety Combo.

AS Designs ARC-Fire V2

The ARC-Fire V2 is a selector-based system from AS Designs, with ambidextrous options and several selector throw configurations to match how you shoot.

Running an AK? The Wrangeler from The Triggered Company is a 3-position drop-in cassette FRT built for the AK platform, priced at $399. Sign up for Wrangeler updates.

What Every 3-Position FRT Needs on an AR-15

Every 3-position system here needs an M16 full-auto cut BCG and a heavier buffer: an H2 at minimum, and an H3 for suppressed or short-gas builds. Skip either one and forced reset will not run reliably. If you want everything matched in one order, see our complete FRT kits.

3-Position FRT FAQ

What is a 3-position FRT?

A 3-position FRT puts three modes on your selector: safe, standard semi-auto, and forced reset. You can switch between normal semi-auto and forced reset without swapping any parts.

What is the difference between a drop-in 3-position FRT and a Super Safety?

A drop-in 3-position FRT like the Disruptor replaces your whole trigger group with one pre-built unit. A selector-based system like the Super Safety or ARC-Fire V2 replaces your safety selector and works with a matched trigger. Both give you safe, semi, and forced reset positions.

Is there a 3-position FRT for the AK-47?

Yes. The Wrangeler from The Triggered Company is a 3-position drop-in cassette FRT built for the AK platform, priced at $399. Sign up on our Wrangeler page to be notified when it is available.

What else do I need to run a 3-position FRT on an AR-15?

An M16 full-auto cut bolt carrier group and a heavier buffer, an H2 at minimum and an H3 for suppressed or short-gas builds. Both are required for reliable forced reset function.

A forced reset trigger fires one round per trigger pull. State laws vary, so check the state-by-state FRT legality guide before you order.
