Shot Show 2025: Las Vegas January 21-25  Do's and Don'ts

This is an important issue for the gun industry and sporting goods industry with Shot Show coming in less than a week. Full Transparency we went to The NSSF's Shot Show for the first time 4 years ago and HAD NO CLUE what we were in for. Not only were we exhibitors, but we had no idea what SHOT really entailed.

The Big Do's and Don'ts for SHOT Show 2025: Maximize Your Experience! As SHOT Show 2025 approaches in Las Vegas from January 21-25, anticipation is building for the largest outdoor, gun, and shooting sports trade show in the world.

With thousands of exhibitors, innovative products, and a vibrant networking atmosphere, it’s a must-attend event for industry professionals and enthusiasts alike. To ensure you have a productive and enjoyable experience, we’ve compiled a list of crucial do's and don'ts for navigating this year's show. From REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE

Shot Show 2025: Las Vegas January 21-25  Do's and Don'ts

The Do's

1. Do Plan Ahead Before you head to the show, take time to review the exhibitors and schedule. Create a personalized itinerary outlining which booths you want to visit, seminars you want to attend, and networking opportunities you'd like to pursue. This will help you make the most of your time on the ground. Because no matter what! I assure you, you cannot see the entire show, you cannot talk to every ar-15 manufacturer who's exhibiting. It's nearly impossible to see it all.

2. Do your best to Promote Your Brand. Use the buzz surrounding SHOT Show to showcase your products. Prepare marketing materials like brochures, business cards, and press kits. Consider promotional giveaways that align with your brand and are practical for attendees, as these can spark conversations and leave lasting impressions. This has only been done by us at a booth, but can just as easily be done as an attendee. We gave away 5000 GET SPRUNG AR-Takedown Tool shirts our first year ( not recommended for a minor budget.)

3. Do Network Effectively Bring plenty of business cards and be open to networking. Engage with other attendees, exhibitors, and industry influencers. Building connections at SHOT Show can lead to valuable partnerships and opportunities down the line. Remember, an introduction can lead to a fruitful collaboration or valuable insights. There will be no shortage of networking opportunities! This is what the entire show is.

4. Do Attend Educational Seminars SHOT Show offers a variety of educational seminars covering industry trends and business strategies. Take advantage of these sessions to enhance your knowledge, gain insights from experts, and keep up with new developments in the firearms and outdoor industry. With being an exhibitor I have not gotten the chance to do this but I am hopeful to this year. I've heard nothing but HUGE POSITIVES from this.

5. Do Wear Comfortable Shoes With the vast expanse of the event, you'll be on your feet for extended periods. Not and understatement, were talking about more than 1,000,000 square feet here. Opt for comfortable shoes that offer support. You want to be able to focus on the exciting products and connections around you without being distracted by sore feet!

 The Don'ts

Once again I am writing this from personal experience and what I "wish I would have done differently, or what I have observed in the last few years"

 1. Don't Overpack Your Schedule While it's essential to be proactive, don’t overdo it with back-to-back appointments and meetings. Allow time for spontaneity—there may be unexpected opportunities that arise, from meeting industry leaders to discovering cutting-edge products. Balance your schedule for a more fulfilling experience. BIG MISTAKE

2. Don't Neglect Your Health The excitement of SHOT Show can lead many to skip meals or skimp on hydration. Maintain your energy levels by fueling your body with nutritious snacks and drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Staying hydrated and properly nourished will help you remain alert and engaged. Definitely FOLLOW THIS> its very easy to go no sleep, waaaay to many drinks etc. its 4 days long pace yourself.

3. Don't Forget to Engage on Social Media In today’s digital age, leveraging social media can significantly enhance your experience. Use platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to share your SHOT Show adventures. Engage with other attendees by sharing insights, photos, and using the official event hashtags. This not only boosts your online presence but also expands your networking reach.

4. Don't Dismiss Safety Protocols Safety is paramount in any firearms-related gathering. Be aware of the safety protocols established by the event organizers. Respect these guidelines to ensure a safe environment for everyone involved. Familiarize yourself with the event layout, especially emergency exits.

5. Don't Hesitate to Follow Up After the show wraps up, make sure to follow up with connections you made during the event. Send personalized emails or LinkedIn messages thanking them for their time and recapping any key discussions. This serves as an excellent way to solidify new relationships and open doors for future collaborations.

Conclusion SHOT Show 2025 is poised to be an incredible experience filled with opportunities for learning, networking, and showcasing new innovations in the firearms industry. By adhering to these do's and don'ts, you’ll maximize your time and make meaningful connections that could propel your business forward. Remember, preparation is key, but so is being open to the unexpected. Enjoy the show, and we hope to see you there!
